HS MILANO Professional Cream Hair Colour is a low-ammonia oxidative colour in a scented cream base, formulated without silicones, resorcinol or PPD, with hydrolysed rice and soy proteins, liquorice extract and an organic oil complex. How to use

1. Allergy alert test 48 hours before every colour service.
2. Mix 1:1.1 — for example 100ml colour to 110ml 20vol developer. Use a non-metallic bowl.
3. Virgin hair: apply to lengths and ends first, respecting porosity, then to the roots.
   Regrowth: apply to roots, then refresh the mid-lengths and ends for the last 5–10 minutes with leftover mix or a lower-volume blend.
4. Develop for approximately 30 minutes.
5. Emulsify with a little water, rinse thoroughly, then cleanse and condition with colour-care products.

It's PPD-free — do I still need to patch test?

Yes, every time. PPD is the most common hair-dye allergen but not the only one, and sensitisation can develop at any point. The 48-hour allergy alert test is non-negotiable.

What does PPD-free actually mean for me?
